Most insurance companies pay all or most of physical therapy needs. We will contact your insurance company prior to your first visit to verify your coverage. We are in network or accept out-of-network benefits from the following insurance companies: Medicare, United Healthcare, Florida Blue, Veterans Choice Program, Aetna, Cigna and Humman. Please contact our office for a complete verification of your benefits and coverage. For those who do not have health insurance, IslandFit Physical Therapy and Wellness maintains quality care at competitive rates. Contact us for details.

Our ultimate goal is to eliminate pain and improve function. Our objective is to provide the best care to you with the least discomfort possible. However, in some cases, is possible to experience mild increase in your symptoms or onset of muscle soreness as a result of starting a new therapeutic program. Please keep in mind all progression and treatment will be governed by your comfort level and will only promote overall improvement.

The treatment time depends on the extent or involvement of your injury, but most treatments last between 45 and 60 minutes.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing/shoes that you would wear to a gym. Also, please make sure the injured body part is easily accessible.

We see orthopaedic, neurologic and balance conditions at any age. The age ranges from 5 – 95 years old. Please call the office to inquire about certain pediatric diagnosis.

Simply call the office and let us know as soon as you need to cancel. If you can give the office a 24 hour warning, it is much appreciated. There is a $25 no show fee that is applied if you do not come for your appointment.
